My lovely and talented daughter Leandra painted this pot for me, and I’m thrilled with it. Leandra really likes the Ti plant I put in it.
Leandra’s participation in the garden consists largely of pointing out things I need to do. She also lets me know what she likes best and encourages me to add more of it. Her favorites include ajuga and all types of lilies.
On her birthday, I asked her what she liked best in the garden. Well, that was three weeks ago, and at that time, the mountain laurel and foxglove were at the top of her list, but the list changes as flowers go in and out of bloom.

I’m not a racist, but I don’t like the coloreds. I have been known to remove the pinks and the purples so I can have only pure white; but this year I’ve been more open-minded, or maybe I’ve just been too busy. Either way, all colors were allowed to stay in the garden this year.
Leandra also mentioned that her least favorite thing is the swan. I told her the gay guys who came the other day LOVED it, so she was obviously wrong.
Leandra is getting weary of job searching, so if you would like to help her by saying a prayer, or thinking good thoughts, or giving her a job; I know she would appreciate it.
I help her by telling her what she is doing wrong, and how she could do it better. She says that is not helpful, it’s critical. Silly children. Parenting is so hard!
I’m glad all that time I have spent on “diversity training” with you has finally worked. I said – just yesterday- “Oh Peggy would not like that pink flower among all these yellows and reds”. Happily, I was wrong!!!
Sadly, you were right.
I can see we need more training!!!
